Washington Chapter Celebrates Mother’s Day
As part of its annual tradition, the Washington Chapter of the Lebanese Forces Party in the United States held a celebratory gathering for Mother’s Day. The event was attended by the chapter’s president, Nada Haddad, along with a large number of party members, supporters, and Lebanese women from the communities in Virginia and Maryland.
The gathering included a breakfast banquet, bringing participants together in an atmosphere of warmth and appreciation for the role of mothers. During the event, Nada Haddad delivered a speech in which she congratulated mothers on their special day, commending their presence and active participation in what has become an annual tradition honoring mothers and their vital role in society.
Haddad emphasized the significance of the role mothers play, both at the family level by raising future generations and at the national level by instilling the values of freedom and sovereignty in their children, as their ancestors did to preserve Lebanon, the land of the cedar and resilience.
She also highlighted the importance of the upcoming elections, urging mothers to encourage their family members, friends, and members of the Lebanese community to complete the necessary documents for active participation in the elections, as this would have a crucial impact on shaping the country’s future.
The event concluded with the distribution of flower bouquets to mothers, in recognition of their invaluable status and continuous contributions to both family and society.
مركز واشنطن يحتفل بعيد الأم
كعادته السنوية، يقيم مركز واشنطن في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لحزب القوات اللبنانية لقاءً احتفاليًا بمناسبة عيد الأم، بحضور رئيسة المركز ندى الحداد، وحشد من الرفيقات المحازبات والمناصرات، إضافة إلى سيدات من الجالية اللبنانية في ولايتي فرجينيا وميريلاند.
وتخلّل اللقاء مأدبة فطور جمعت المشاركات في أجواء من الودّ والتقدير لدور الأمهات. وخلال الحفل، ألقت رئيسة المركز ندى الحداد كلمة بالمناسبة، هنّأت فيها الأمهات بعيدهن، مشيدةً بحضورهن ومشاركتهن الفاعلة في هذا اللقاء الذي بات تقليدًا سنويًا يكرّم الأم ودورها الجوهري في المجتمع.
وأكّدت الحداد على أهمية الدور الذي تضطلع به الأمهات، سواء على المستوى العائلي من خلال تنشئة الأجيال، أو على الصعيد الوطني عبر غرس قيم الحرية والسيادة في نفوس أبنائهن، كما فعل الأجداد والآباء حفاظًا على لبنان، وطن الأرز والصمود.
كما شدّدت على أهمية الاستحقاق الانتخابي المقبل، داعيةً الأمهات إلى حثّ أفراد عائلاتهن وأصدقائهن وأبناء الجالية اللبنانية على استكمال المستندات اللازمة للمشاركة الفاعلة في الانتخابات، لما لذلك من أثر جوهري في رسم مستقبل الوطن.
واختُتم اللقاء بتوزيع باقات من الزهور على الأمهات، تكريمًا لمكانتهن وتقديرًا لعطائهن المستمر في الأسرة والمجتمع.
Le Bureau de Washington célèbre la Fête des Mères
Dans le cadre de sa tradition annuelle, le Bureau de Washington du Parti des Forces Libanaises aux États-Unis a organisé une rencontre festive à l’occasion de la Fête des Mères. L’événement s’est déroulé en présence de la présidente du bureau, Nada Haddad, ainsi que d’un grand nombre de militantes, de sympathisantes et de femmes de la communauté libanaise des États de Virginie et du Maryland.
La rencontre a été marquée par un petit-déjeuner convivial, réunissant les participantes dans une ambiance chaleureuse de reconnaissance et d’appréciation du rôle des mères. Lors de la cérémonie, Nada Haddad a prononcé un discours dans lequel elle a félicité les mères pour leur fête, saluant leur présence et leur engagement actif dans cet événement devenu une tradition annuelle honorant la mère et son rôle essentiel dans la société.
Mme Haddad a souligné l’importance du rôle des mères, tant au niveau familial, en élevant les générations futures, qu’au niveau national, en inculquant à leurs enfants les valeurs de liberté et de souveraineté, comme l’ont fait leurs ancêtres pour préserver le Liban, terre du cèdre et de la résilience.
Elle a également insisté sur l’importance de l’échéance électorale à venir, appelant les mères à encourager les membres de leur famille, leurs amis et la communauté libanaise à compléter les documents nécessaires pour participer activement aux élections, car cela aurait un impact crucial sur l’avenir du pays.
La rencontre s’est clôturée par la distribution de bouquets de fleurs aux mères, en hommage à leur statut précieux et en reconnaissance de leur engagement constant au sein de la famille et de la société.
