Mahfoud: Delaying the Disbandment of the Militia Will Bring Devastation to the Lebanese Republic
The head of the Change Movement Party, lawyer Elie Mahfoud, stated that the delay in making a central decision to dismantle the militia in all its branches will cause further devastation to the Lebanese Republic. The issue is not just about reconstruction; it goes beyond that to the state’s structure, function, and the restoration of its role—something that cannot be achieved as long as a military entity operates in the service of a foreign state.
There will be no solutions, no rescue, no economy, no security, no foreign relations, and no tourism as long as the armed organization known as the Party continues to exist.

Le président du parti Mouvement du Changement, l’avocat Élie Mahfoud, a déclaré que le retard dans la prise d’une décision centrale pour démanteler la milice sous toutes ses formes causera davantage de destruction au niveau du corps de la République libanaise.
Il ne s’agit pas seulement de la reconstruction, mais plutôt de la situation de l’État, de sa fonction et de la récupération de son rôle, ce qui ne pourra pas être accompli tant qu’un corps militaire continue de servir un État étranger.
Aucune solution, aucun sauvetage, aucune économie, aucune sécurité, aucune relation extérieure, aucun tourisme ne seront possibles tant que l’organisation armée appelée “le Parti” existera.
