The following statement was issued by the Media Department of the Lebanese Forces Party:

Some individuals persistently insist that their ideas and intentions are absolute truths, among them journalist Malak Aqeel, who today wrote an article on the “Asas Media” website titled “Who is the actual ruler in appointments?” In the article, she claimed that “the Lebanese Forces exaggerate their representation in the government, while it can be asserted that, except for Foreign Minister Youssef Raji, they have no influence over the other three ministers.” Therefore, we must ask Aqeel how she knew this? Where did she get these inaccurate details? Why this ongoing bias against the Lebanese Forces with prior intent and design? And why focus exclusively on the Lebanese Forces?

In any case, it is unnecessary to emphasize that the four ministers in the government belong to the Lebanese Forces. We hope that the journalist will reread what the four ministers stated upon their appointment to this government, as this may be beneficial for Aqeel and others. It would also be helpful to inform her and others that continuous and regular communication and cooperation with the four ministers, on all levels, has been ongoing since they assumed their ministerial positions, based on a constant commitment to choosing the best candidates and succeeding in the work that even the opponents of the Lebanese Forces acknowledge. This work aims to ensure the success of the government, the presidency, and the path of rescue, reform, and sovereignty. Unfortunately, some individuals, like Aqeel, continue to fabricate news from here and there and insist on misleading the public with false information that has no connection to reality or truth.
