Since the implementation of the ceasefire decision in southern Lebanon, the region has witnessed a cautious calm, as rocket launches from Lebanon towards Israel ceased. However, this stability was short-lived, as the launch of rockets from primitive platforms resumed, and the specter of escalation quickly returned to the forefront. The Lebanese army discovered and dismantled these platforms, while Israel intercepted the rockets before they reached its territory, increasing the likelihood of military tension resurfacing on the Lebanese front. Despite Hezbollah’s swift denial of any involvement with these rockets through an official statement, the location of the platforms in the Arnoun-Shuqayf area, overlooking the Khyam plain near the Israeli border, raises questions, especially since this area is free of any Palestinian factions, whether military or civilian, making the possibility of another party’s involvement a subject of widespread debate.
